A native of Puget Sound, Duane has been serving families in funeral care for more than 30 years. Married to Tracey, together they raised five children – Michael, Emily, Julia, David, and Stephen. Duane graduated from Shorecrest High School in Washington and served a two-year church mission in southern Texas. He spends his spare time with church service, watching sporting events, or biking.
Kendra C. Baughn
LICENSED FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND EMBALMER
Kendra has been in this profession for over seven years. She went to the College of Mortuary Science in San Francisco, California, where she received her Associates of Science Degree, after living there for several years. Kendra is now a resident of Seattle and enjoys meeting people in her community and assisting them with the creative ways that families honor and cherish the members of their family and friends with services here at Bleitz Funeral Home.
Abraham Thomas
FINANCIAL OFFICER – OFFICE MANAGER
Abraham was born in the southwest state of India called Kerala, which means the land of coconut trees. After earning his degree in accounting, Abe moved to the Seattle area in 1992. He joined Bleitz Funeral in 1997. Fluent in Hindi and Mayalam, Abe lives in Bothell with his wife and two daughters.
Nicole Scroggins
RECEPTIONIST
Nikki was born and raised in Yakima, Washington. Nikki graduated from Yakima Valley Community college in 2007. She began working in funeral service at Keith & Keith Funeral Home in 2008. She decided that the funeral profession was right for her and relocated to Seattle to attend Lake Washington Technical College for the funeral service education program. She is now gaining experience at Bleitz Funeral and working toward her educational goals.
Kelly Jean Davis
SPECIAL PROJECTS AND RECEPTIONIST
A Seattle resident since 1990, Kelly Jean Davis was born and raised on a dairy farm in central Pennsylvania. A graduate from Pennsylvania State University, she has lived in in New York City, Albuquerque, San Francisco, and Manchester, England. She has volunteered recently for the University of Washington Medical Center, PAWS, and Arts Corps. She looks forward to serving families that come to Bleitz Funeral.
deAnna L. Parkhurst
ADVANCE PLANNING COMMUNITY SERVICE ADVISOR
deAnna was born and raised in Western Washington near the Canadian border. Her love for the Northwest and all its beauty keeps her close to home. She started her career in funeral service 15 years ago and served through the years as a sales manager and advisor at four local funeral homes and cemeteries. Being able to share and assist individuals in their wishes for pre-arrangement plans has been a very positive experience. deAnna holds a Washington State Insurance License and worked in estate planning before helping funeral homes and cemeteries.
